Sean Michael Yule, 25, of Longview was arrested yesterday at Lower Columbia College, picked up after he allegedly posted on-line comments, saying that he was going to cause some mayhem at the Three Rivers Mall. Kelso Police say that they learned about the on-line posting at about 6:30 Sunday evening, when a man said that he was going to “shoot up” the Three Rivers Mall, at 2 pm on Monday. Several people reported being alarmed by the posting, and contacted both the FBI and Kelso Police. The FBI contacted KPD through its office in Vancouver. Kelso Police say that the posting included a name in Kelso where information the attack could be verified. Officers were able to contact that person through Facebook, and determined that he wasn’t responsible for the posting. An emergency inquiry went into the Internet Service Provider for the original post, and they were able to provide the address where that original post came from. Officers went to the home, but didn’t find Yule at that time. He was contacted at the college, as he arrived for a 12:15 pm class. Yule reportedly admitted posting the comment under the name of a friend, claiming that it was a prank. Yule was released after Officers verified that he didn’t have the means or intent to carry out such an attack. The incident is being forwarded to the County Prosecutor’s Office for review on possible Felony Harrassment charges.
