Longview Police say that they’ve identified a “person of interest” in the August 29th fire that destroyed a home and its contents at 527 26th Avenue in Longview. Detectives are asking for your help in finding Marcus Lapree Aldridge, 32, in connection with the fire. They say that Aldridge was already wanted on a warrant for second-degree domestic violence assault and unlawful imprisonment, stemming from a dispute that took place on March 28th of this year. LPD officials say that Aldridge evaded arrest at that time. It was thought that he’d left the state, but recently, he’s been seen in the Longview area. Marcus Lapree Aldridge is a black male, with long “dreadlocks” and a goatee. It’s noted that Aldridge has a history of violence, and should be considered as a dangerous person. If you know where Marcus Aldridge is, call 911 right away. You can also call Longview Police at 442-5800, or leave an anonymous tip on the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 577-1206.
