The County Sheriff’s K-9 Fritz is getting credit for making an arrest early this morning up near Castle Rock. Shortly before midnight, Deputies were called about a possible domestic dispute at a residence on Sir Lancelot Drive, in the Camelot area. When Deputies arrived on the scene, there were told that Tyrone Pocan, 39, has taken off into the nearby woods. Fritz attempted a track, without success; they went back to the home, where the people inside once again denied that Pocan was in the house. Fritz and his handler started working a nearby road, then heard a commotion at the house. When they returned and forced their way inside, Pocan bailed out a back window. Deputies say he ran into the brush; Fritz chased him about 100 yards, then found him hiding in a thicket. After several bites, Pocan gave himself up. He declined medical attention, and is now being held on a charge of violating a no-contact order, with bail set at $20,000.
