More than 50 local business owners met yesterday with 3rd district Congressman Brian Baird and members of the IRS, the Small Business Administration and the Health Insurance Partnership, getting information on tax credits and other assistance that’s available from the Federal government. Baird says that there’s a lot of information that’s not getting to the street. A major focus of yesterday’s meeting dealt with tax credits available under the Affordable Care Act, and Baird says that the goal is to connect small business owners with the agencies that can provide that information. For those who weren’t able to attend yesterday, he says that links are available through healthcare.gov, irs.gov, sba.gov, and through Baird’s own Congressional website.
