Longview Police continue to investigate a shooting that took place early Saturday morning in the 1900 block of 33rd Avenue. Just before 3 am on Saturday, 911 calls came in about “shots fired,” followed by a second report that a man was on his way to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Officers determined where the shooting had taken place, and started to meet with witnesses and collect evidence. Detectives headed to the hospital to interview the victim, who had wounds in his legs. Exact details about the number and nature of the wounds, along with the victim’s name, are not being released at this time. Those on the scene say that the suspects drove away from the scene, but they haven’t been identified.
