The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments is hosting a workshop session tonight, inviting local, state and federal officials from all around the area to provide an update on the State Route 432 Corridor Project. For some time, the COG has been working on this project, helping to evaluate various concepts for rail and highway improvements to enhance safety, congestions, system mobility and freight capacity issues from I-5 through West Longview. COG Executive Director Scott Patterson says that this project is a critical of infrastructure improvement as we look forward to economic development and job growth in the local area. Today’s special briefing is set to begin at 6 pm in the General Meeting Room on the third floor of the Cowlitz County Administration Building in Kelso; the public is invited to attend.
