There’s also a reception planned for 5 pm today in the Art Gallery at the Rose Center, marking the exhibit that’s now on display from Michael Paul Miller of Port Angeles. The exhibit is titled “The Salvaged,” and features a series of paintings that are classed as “postmodern new symbolic realism, exploring the depths of the human condition in the setting of a post-apocalyptic environment.” Originally from Wisconsin, Miller had his first solo show in 2003, and has been exhibited from New York to Coos Bay. Last year, he was presented with the “Best Artwork” award by the Washington Community Colleges Humanities Association. Today’s reception runs from 5 to 7 pm; “The Salvaged” will be on display through October 22nd.
