Two men are under arrest in connection with an assault that took place in the parking lot of a West Longview restaurant early on the morning of March 28th. The Sheriff’s Office reports that Timothy Lynn Kuljis, 39, was arrested yesterday in Vancouver, then Michael Christopher Rice, 26, was arrested a home west of town. Both men are suspected of being involved in the beating of a 33 year-old man, found lying in the parking lot of Henri’s Carousel restaurant, bleeding from severe wounds to his face and head. The victim suffered multiple fractures in the attack, which apparently was part of a robbery. Authorities report that the victim spent three days in a coma after the incident, and has only recently regained his memory of the incident. Both Kuljis and Rice are being charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, with bail set at $100,000 apiece. The investigation is continuing into the incident, and anyone who might have information or who might have witnessed the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 577-3092.
