Kelso Police are still working to find the suspect in an assault reported last night in the 100 block of Florence Avenue, where a man was injured by a baseball bat-wielding attacker. Around 10:45 pm, a woman called 911, reporting that she had been flagged down by the victim. KPD arrived on the scene, along with aid personnel, finding the victim bleeding from a gash to the head. He also complained of some arm pain; the man claims that several people were involved in the attack, but there was one “primary suspect.” That man is described as a white male, about 35 years in age, 5’7” to 5’10”, with blond, medium-length hair. The suspect was reported to be wearing a green shirt and blue jeans, and was last seen heading up a trail in the direction of the Green Hills Cemetery. The victim was treated and released from Saint John Medical Center. The suspect remains at large.
