The suspect in a high-speed chase that took place Sunday morning on Highway 30 near Clatskanie has reportedly turned himself in. Oregon State Police had put out a call for public help in the case, looking for the rider of a motorcycle that was spotted doing 74 miles an hour on the highway; Trooper Jessica Spurlock says speeds got up to 120 miles an hour as she tried to catch the bike, but then she crashed into an embankment. She was treated for minor injuries after that crash. OSP reported that Nicholas Boehler III, 30, of Westport turned himself in to the Astoria area command office yesterday morning, and is now being held on charges of felony eluding, reckless driving, violation of the basic rule and no valid operator’s license.
