A man from Bellingham was taken into custody early this morning, picked up after an apparent burglary attempt reported at Bob’s Sporting Goods. Longview Police went to the store at 11th and Hudson at about 2:45 this morning, when an alarm activation was reported. Officers found that a front door of the building was insecure. A search of the building was conducted, along with a check of the area around the building. During that sweep, Officers contacted Ryan Seward-Arestad, 22, of Bellingham, and they eventually arrested him on two counts of third-degree theft. Bail has been set at $500. It’s not known at this time if he was connected to the alarm activation.
