Body Found Update

Posted on 29th November 2016 at 08:24

County Coroner Tim Davidson says that they are still working to identify the male body that was found floating in the Columbia River near Longview last Friday morning. The body was spotted by the crew of a tugboat that was working near the mouth of the Cowlitz River, and was recovered last Friday morning. Davidson says that the body is badly decomposed, and he says that “a lengthy forensic process” will be needed to make an identification. He says that the body appears to be that of an adult Caucasian male, possibly between his late 20’s and early 40’s. It looks like the man had brown-colored hair, with male pattern balding. The man was wearing denim blue jeans, black leather work boots and a black belt. Davidson says that an autopsy is being set up for later this week, and an update will be issued after that work is done. The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is also following up on this incident.
