The body found next to a street in Centralia has been identified as that of a local resident. Centralia Police tell the Centralia Chronicle that Anthony P. Fries, 64, did not die of natural causes, but they still haven’t said if his death is a homicide or a suicide. Fries’ body was found early Sunday morning, next to the roadway in the 100 block of East 3rd Street in Centralia. They say that the body showed signs of trauma, which leads police to believe that the death was not by natural causes. It’s noted that Fries did live near where his body was found, but they don’t know how he ended up where he did. An autopsy was performed yesterday afternoon, but the results of that procedure haven’t yet been disclosed.
