Bomb Threat

Posted on 2nd May 2014 at 16:03

St. Helens Police are working to track down the person who phoned a bomb threat in to the Columbia County Courthouse yesterday afternoon, causing a 90-minute evacuation of the building. Police Chief Terry Moss says that the call came in around 2 pm; due to the nature of the threat, the entire building was evacuated as a precaution. A multi-agency team of law enforcement officers swept the entire building, without finding any suspicious devices. The “all-clear” was given at about 3:30 pm, and normal activities were allowed to resume. Moss is asking for your help in finding the person who made the threat; if you have any information on this incident, you’re strongly encouraged to call St. Helens Police at 503-397-1521.
