For the 21st year in a row, downtown Longview will be transformed into a classic and custom car showplace, as the annual Columbia River Corvettes Bow-Tie Bash is held. This event will run from 9 am to 3 pm on Commerce Avenue in Longview, with the show open to all American-made and/or American-powered vehicles. In addition to the Bow-Tie Bash car show, Corvette owners will also be able to participate in the Northwest Association of Corvette Clubs’ sanctioned “Shine and Show” judging competition. Membership in the NWACC is not required. There will also be raffles through the day, and awards will be presented at 3 pm. Admission is free; entrance fees for the cars are required. Money from the raffles will go to a number of local charities. They’re also asking spectators to bring two cans of non-perishable food, with those collections going to the Help Food Warehouse.
