If you’re a user of the Lewis and Clark Bridge, you may want to budget some extra time to get across the bridge over the next few days as some pavement work will have one lane of the bridge closed. Tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night, the Department of Transportation will close one lane of the bridge, as workers grind out existing pavement markers, followed by the installation of new, more durable markers. WashDOT says that these new markers will hold up to the weather, and will be more durable than the previous pavement markers. The lane closures are planned to start at 9 pm each night, and will run until 6 am the next morning. Delays of up to 20 minutes at a time are possible. Adjust your travel time accordingly.
