Electricity, phone and internet service was down for about 500 customers living in the Bunker Hill area west of Longview yesterday afternoon, after lines were pulled down by a log truck that was traveling through the area. The outage was first reported at about 3:30 yesterday afternoon, when local residents reported that the truck had taken down lines in the 100 block of Bunker Hill Road. The lines actually became entangled in the truck, and it took some time to free the vehicle. Power repairs were completed in a couple of hours, and then it took a couple more hours after that to restore the phone service. So far, no citations have been reported in connection with the incident.
