Following last weekend’s arrest of Alexander Jason Ross, 22, of St. Helens, calling him a “prolific burglar,” St. Helens Police and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office are now trying to track down the owners of stolen jewelry that was recovered after Ross’ arrest. St. Helens Police Chief Terry Moss says that they are now in possession of “miscellaneous costume jewelry” pieces, and they’re now extending an invitation to victims of recent thefts and burglaries to meet with them. Moss says that victims of thefts and burglaries are asked to come by the St. Helens Police Department between noon and 5 pm tomorrow, to see if any of the stolen property can be identified. You’re asked to call 503-397-3333, extension 217, and then ask to speak to “Shelly” to set up an appointment. If you’re unable to meet tomorrow, go ahead and call the number to set up an appointment at a better time.
