County Coroner Tim Davidson now says that Daniel Dee Bush, 22, died of natural causes while incarcerated at the Cowlitz County Jail. Today’s Daily News reports on the autopsy results involving Bush, who was found dead at the jail, four days into a 30-day sentence. Davidson says that Bush died from complications of pneumonia, which apparently led to sepsis and organ failure. While the cause of death has been pinpointed, the death itself is still being investigated by the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office, which will now forward its findings for review. A review of jail procedures connected to the death is still under way. Bush’s family reportedly hasn’t had a chance to examine the findings; they have also retained an attorney, who plans to have his own experts go over the findings. Bush is one of four people to die while in custody at the jail within the past year.
