They’ve emptied out the charging book as David Jordan Frownfelder, 23, of Longview is arrested for his alleged involvement in a series of car prowls reported yesterday morning. This all got started a little after 5 am yesterday, when a person living in the 600 block of 16th reported a car prowl, with a stereo and other items taken. About 15 minutes later, a man living in the 800 block of 9th Avenue reported that he’d interrupted a car prowler. Longview Police responded to the area, and caught Frownfelder near Victoria Freeman Park. A second suspect continued to run, and a search of the area was unsuccessful. As Officers checked the area, at least five victims were identified. At about 9:30 in the morning, a man living in the 600 block of 17th Avenue reported finding a couple of duffle bags stashed behind his house, full of what appeared to be stolen items. Frownfelder was connected to the bags, and is now being held on 17 separate counts, including five counts of car prowling, three counts of malicious mischief, three counts of third-degree theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of marijuana and criminal conspiracy. All are misdemeanor counts, with bail totaling $8,250. The second suspect has been identified, but remains at large this morning.
