“Tradition Lives on at the Rock” is the theme for this year’s Castle Rock Fair, which opens tonight and runs through Saturday. As is tradition, the fair kicks off this evening with the parade through downtown Castle Rock, heading across the Cowlitz River and ending at the Castle Rock Fairgrounds. The fair and its exhibits will open at 7 pm, and the Baird Creek Band will perform at 8 pm. Things re-open tomorrow at 10 am, with a full day of 4-H shows and live entertainment, including two shows by magician Richard Green. The Toutle FFA will also put on a Logging Show at 7:30 tomorrow night. On Saturday, L-Bow the Clown will perform three times during the day, there’s a “Wet Money Scramble” at 2 pm on Saturday, a Lip Sync and Talent Show at 7 pm, and another Logging Show at 7:30 Saturday night. The Castle Rock Fairgrounds are located just west of downtown Castle Rock; call 274-4116 for more information, or go to their website at castlerockfair.com.
