The Blazers can clinch the division title tonight when they host the Clippers, KLOG 6:05 pm…..Felix had a rough go in his final spring start as the Indians beat the Mariners 8-6. Seattle takes on he White Sox today…..Seaver Whalen went 4 for 4 with a homer leading the LCC baseball team to a 15-0 victory over Centralia…..In prep baseball today, Fort is at Kelso and Bay visits R.A. Long…..In softball, Castle Rock defeated Mark Morris 13-0…..Jonathan Jimenez scored 3 goals to lead the Kelso boys soccer team to a 5-0 win over Tumwater. Tonight the MM boys are at Woodland…..The Kelso track teams were victorious at Prairie yesterday…..Sarah Luedke of RAL has announced she will play college basketball in the Ivy League at Harvard.

The Trail Blazers clinched a playoff spot with a 109-86 blowout over the Phoenix Suns last night. Portland will host the Clippers tomorrow night…..Mike Zunino hit his 7th homer of the spring to lead the Mariners to a 5-3 win over the Angels. Felix Hernandez gets his final spring start today against the Indians, KLOG 6:55 pm…..The LCC baseball team will move up it’s home game with Centralia to this afternoon. Start time at Story Field is 4 pm…..Kelso blanked Fort Vancouver 10-0 yesterday as Steven Christian-Zandi spun a five inning one-hitter with 15 strikeouts. Also, R.A. Long beat Washougal 8-5 and Ridgefield beat Mark Morris 15-5…..The LCC softball games at SW Oregon today have been postponed until Thursday…….In prep softball today, Kelso is at RAL and MM at Castle Rock.

The Zags fell short of the Final Four. Duke beat Gonzaga 66-52 in the Elite 8 yesterday. Duke will play Michigan State and Kentucky goes up against Wisconsin in the Final Four…..Damien Lillard came to LCC and hit 30 of 36 3’s to raise money for the Humane Society, the YMCA and the LCC Athletics scholarship fund. Dick Hannah Toyota also allowed LCC star Kaylea Knox a chance to double the donation and she hit a three to trigger a $6,000 donation to each charity. Lillard and the Blazers host the Suns tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The LCC baseball team scored three runs in the 9th to pull out an exciting 3-2 victory over Pierce. The Devils host Centralia on Wednesday…..The Padres beat the Mariners 8-5 yesterday. The M’s take on the Angels today, KLOG 12:55 pm.

Gonzaga is looking for a NCAA Sweet 16 win today when they take on UCLA in Houston, 4:15 pm on CBS…..The Trail Blazers take on the Suns in Phoenix tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm. Portland hosts Denver Saturday night…..Rainier and R.A. Long split a baseball double header yesterday, Columbians 2-0 and Jacks 6-2. Today, Mark Morris hosts Aberdeen at 4 pm…..The LCC baseball team plays a single game at Grays Harbor Saturday and then hosts Pierce in a 1 pm Sunday at Story Field, klog.com…..The LCC softball team hosts Pierce in a 1 pm DH Saturday at Tam O’Shanter…..Kelso edged Union 4-3 in softball, while MM beat Fort 11-6. RAL is at Aberdeen today…..The Senior Smash boys volleyball fund-raiser is tonight at the Kelso Gym featuring Kelso, MM and RAL, start time 6 pm.

The Blazers snapped a five-game losing streak by defeating the Utah Jazz 92-89…..The NCAA Sweet 16 begins tonight with four games. Gonzaga plays UCLA tomorrow night in Houston…..Loyola of Chicago eliminated Seattle U. 63-48 in the CBI tournament…..Taijuan Walker tossed six scoreless innings in the Mariners 3-2 spring win over the Cubs. The M’s split the squad today playing the Brewers and the Royals. The KC game can be heard on KLOG at 6:55 pm…..Mark Morris defeated Rainier 5-4 in prep baseball. Rainier plays two today at R.A. Long beginning at 3 pm…..The Kelso softball team hosts Union at 4 pm today…..In boys soccer, Washougal beat MM 1-0 and Hockinson edged RAL 2-1…..The MM track team hosts Ridgefield today at 4 pm.

The Trail Blazers have lost five straight as Golden State beat Portland 122-108 last night. Damian Lillard had 29 to lead the Blazers, who play at Utah tonight, KLOG 5:05 pm. Speaking of Lillard, he will be at the LCC Gym Sunday at 4 pm to shoot three’s for charity. The M’s play the Cubs tonight in Peoria…..In prep baseball, Kelso beat Woodland 8-1 and W.F. West edged R.A. Long 3-2. Mark Morris hosts Rainier today at 4 pm…..Madison Cathcart threw a no-hitter in RAL’s 7-0 softball win over Heritage…..In boys soccer tonight, R.A. Long is at Hockinson and Mark Morris travels to Washougal, both at 7 pm.

Angels shutout the Mariners 5-0 in spring training action yesterday. The M’s play the Padres today in Peoria…..The Seattle U. Redhawks defeated Colorado 72-65 in the College Basketball Invitational tournament last night. Seattle U. advances to the tourney semi-finals against ULM tomorrow night…..Kelso scored two second half goals to beat Woodland 2-1 in boys soccer…..The Kelso baseball team hosts Woodland today at 4 pm. The R.A. Long baseball teams is at W.F. West this afternoon…..In softball today, Kelso is at Skyview and RAL is at Heritage…..In girls golf today, Fort visits MM and RAL is at Heritage.

Gonzaga advanced to the men’s NCAA Sweet 16 with a 87-68 victory over Iowa. The Zags take on UCLA in the South Region semi-finals. Wisconsin eliminated the Oregon Ducks 72-65. It’s the second straight year the Badgers have ousted the Ducks…..The Gonzaga women also advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 76-64 win at Oregon State…..The Mariners got three-run homers from Nelson Cruz and Kyle Seager in an 8-0 win over Texas. The M’s play the Angels today, KLOG on tape delay at 6:55 pm…..After losing two at home to Edmonds Saturday, the LCC Red Devils returned the favor by taking two at Edmonds Sunday, 2-1 and 8-4…..The Mark Morris baseball game with Rainier today is rained out…..The Kelso boys soccer team is at home against Woodland tonight at 7 pm.

Georgetown defeated upset-minded Eastern Washington 84-74 last night in the NCAA tournament. Gonzaga takes on North Dakota State in Seattle tonight and the Oregon Ducks play Oklahoma State today in Omaha…..The Blazers play at Orlando today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..The Mariners beat Cleveland 5-2 last night. The M’s play Texas today, KLOG 12:55 pm…..Kelso defeated Mark Morris 8-1 in prep baseball…..The LCC baseball team hosts Edmonds tomorrow in a 1 pm DH at Story Field…..The LCC softball team plays two games at Delta Park in Portland today beginning at 5 pm…..The Kelso softball team edged Mt. View 4-3 and Camas downed R.A. Long 5-1…..The 11th Lumberjill Invite tennis tourney is underway and goes through Saturday at the Mint Valley Complex……The 38th Rotary Relays is Saturday at Longview Memorial Stadium. The 8-team affair begins at 10:30 am and features RAL, MM, Kelso and Rainier.
