The Lou Mendez coached Illusion team beat the Maryland Heartbreakers 4-2 and then edged the Dallas Impact 3-2. Sarah Probasco of Rainier won both games. The Brent Harris-coached Illusion team beat the Rip City Outlaws 5-1.
The weather extended the tournament until Monday, then the players extended the event for another four holes before Zach Johnson edged past Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman to win the 144th British Open. Johnson, Oosthuizen and Leishman all finished the regulation 72 holes tied at -15/273. Jordan Spieth came up just short in his drive to win the first three majors of the year, finishing at -14. Oosthuizen had a chance to extend the playoff, but he missed a tying putt on #18.
