The Blazers are in Philadelphia to play the 76’ers tonight, KLOG 3:05 pm. Damian Lillard says he will play despite a sprained ankle…..The latest College Football Playoff rankings are out with Alabama #1, Miami #2, Clemson #3 and Oklahoma #4. The WSU Cougars are up a notch to #13 while the Huskies are #17. Despite that, UW is a 10 point favorite for Saturday’s 5 pm Apple Cup in Seattle…..The Seattle Sounders beat Houston 2-0 last night in the first game of the two-game Western Conference final. Game two will be November 30th in Seattle…..It’s an 80th birthday celebration for Nike founder Phil Knight through college basketball. The PK80 tournament begins tomorrow at Moda Center and the Memorial Coliseum…..The 31st Red Devil Classic begins Friday at LCC.

The Seahawks dug themselves out of a 14-0 deficit, but in the end Blair Walsh’s 52-yard FG attempt was three feet short as the Falcons beat Seattle 34-31 last night. The loss snapped the Hawks 11-game win streak on Monday Night Football…..The Blazers opened a four game road trip with a 100-92 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. CJ McCollum scored 24 the lead the way. Portland plays at Philadelphia tomorrow night…..Plenty of college hoops around the Thanksgiving holiday including the PK80 event in Portland, the Maui Classic in Hawaii and the 31st Red Devil Classic beginning Friday at LCC. Last night, Georgia State beat Eastern Washington 68-50 in Las Vegas…..The Mariners announced that 12 of their 32 Spring Training games will be at night.

The Seahawks host the Falcons in Monday Night Football tonight. The kickoff is set for 5:30 pm…..The Cougars are #14 and the Huskies at #15 as they get ready for the Apple Cup Saturday at 5 pm…..Kalama is the lone local team still standing in the WIAA Playoffs. Kalama will play Napavine Saturday night at 7 pm. The semi-final game is at Centralia HS…..The Blazers take on the Grizzlies in Memphis tonight, KLOG 4:05 pm…..The LCC men’s hoop team opened the season with a 54-39 win over Blue Mountain on Saturday……The LCC women’s team went 2-1 at a tourney in Coeur d’Alene. The Devils beat SW Oregon 92-86 on Sunday…..The LCC volleyball team ended up 5th at the NWAC Championships. Nina Bailey was 2nd Team All-Tourney. Chemeketa won the championship.

Caleb Porter is leaving Portland after five years as head coach of the Timbers…..The LCC volleyball team lost to Linn Benton, then beat Shoreline to stay alive at the NWAC Championships in Tacoma. The Devils play at 3 pm this afternoon…..The LCC men’s basketball team and new head coach Mickey Polis open the season tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm against Blue Mountain…..The Blazers are at Sacramento tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The Huskies lost to Providence 77-70 in men’s college hoops. The Dawgs play Virginia Tech at 2 pm today…..Kalama hosts Pe Ell/Valley in WIAA 2B quarterfinal football action tonight, 7 pm. Rainier takes on Santiam Christian in the Oregon 3A semi-finals tomorrow at 11 am at Hillsboro Stadium…..Utah is at Washington in college football tomorrow at 7:30 pm.

Shabazz Napier scored 19 points and hit 5 for 5 from three-point range in the Blazers 99-94 win over the Orlando Magic…..WSU beat Seattle U. 75-59 in in men’s college hoops last night. Tonight, the Huskies take on Providence in the 2K Sports Classic in New York…..The LCC volleyball team opens defense of its NWAC Championship at today’s opening round of the tournament at the Tacoma Convention Center. The Devils take on Linn Benton at 4:30 pm…..Washington has suspended senior linebacker Azeem Victor following his arrest on suspicion of DUI…..One more day of practice for Kalama and Toledo as they get ready for the 2B football quarterfinals. The Chinooks host Pe Ell/Valley tomorrow night at 7 pm. Toledo plays Napavine Friday at 7 pm at Centralia HS.

The Eastern Washington Eagles beat a Pac-12 team for the first time in nearly 15 years. The Eagles beat Stanford 67-61. Also, Gonzaga pounded Howard 106-69. Tonight, WSU host Seattle U. at 6 pm…..The Blazers are at home against the Orlando Magic tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The Seahawks signed Byron Maxwell to a contract to help deal with the loss of Richard Sherman. It’s Maxwell’s second tour with the Hawks. Seattle host the Falcons in Monday Night Football…..The LCC volleyball team leaves for Tacoma today as they open the NWAC Championships against Linn Benton Thursday at 4:30 pm. It’s a rematch of last year’s title game, won by LCC…..In prep bowling today, MM takes on Prairie and RAL plays Battle Ground, both at the Triangle at 3:15 pm. Kelso is at Heritage.

Jusuf Nurkic scored 17 points against his old team leading Portland to a 99-82 win over the Denver Nuggets. The Blazers host the Orlando Magic tomorrow night…..The Seahawks are hopeful that safety Earl Thomas will return from injury to play against the Falcons this weekend. ESPN is reporting that former Hawk Byron Maxwell is set to rejoin the team…..In college hoops, Oregon beat Prairie View A&M 100-67 and Wyoming defeated Oregon State 75-66. Tonight, Eastern Washington is at Stanford and Gonzaga hosts Howard…..Tonight is Meet the Devils Night at LCC’s Myklebust Gym. The Booster event begins at 6 pm and features pizza, salad, player and coach introductions and a fun “Devils Got Talent” competition. It’s free for Booster Club members, $5 for the public.

WSU jumped ahead of UW in the latest AP College Football Poll. The Cougars are at # 15, while the Huskies dropped to #16…..The Husky men’s basketball team defeated Eastern Washington 79-69 last night. WSU held off Texas Southern 86-84 in OT…..The Idaho State women’s team surprised Washington 79-59 yesterday. Former LCC star Madison Hinrichs had two points for Idaho State…..The Trail Blazers host the Denver Nuggets in NBA action tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..Castle Rock and Kalama both battled back to take 6th place trophies at the State volleyball tourneys in Yakima……Rainier is into the Oregon 3A football semi-finals after a 40-6 win over Nyssa Saturday. The Columbians take on Santiam Christian at 11 am Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium.

The State volleyball tournaments are underway in Yakima today. Three Rivers Christian opened up 1B action with Odessa. In the 2B, Toutle Lake plays Colfax and Kalama opens with La Connor. The 1A begins tomorrow with unbeaten Castle Rock playing Coupeville Friday afternoon…..LCC volleyball head coach Carri Smith earned career victory #100 in the Devils 3-0 sweep at Green River. The Devils have a week to get ready for the NWAC Championships…..The Seahawks are at Arizona tonight in NFL Thursday Night Football. The kickoff is at 5:25 pm…..R.A. Long junior Andrew Walling signed his National Letter of Intent to play college baseball at NCAA power Oregon State. Walling signed at a ceremony at the RAL Auditorium this morning.

R.A. Long gave Cedarcrest all it could handle, but in the end the Red Wolves eliminated the Jills 3-1 in the 2A State soccer playoffs last night in Duvall. Eastyn Reeves scored the goal for RAL but it was the defense that stood out…..The LCC volleyball team closes out the regular season at Green River tonight at 7 pm. The Devils have already clinched a berth in the NWAC championships next week…..CJ McCollum scored 36 points, but his mid-range jumper with four second left was no good and Memphis defeated Portland 98-97 last night. The Blazers host the Nets Friday night…..The Seahawks had seven players miss practice yesterday as they try and get healthy for tomorrow nights game at Arizona…..The UW Huskies are #9 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.
