The Blazers are back home after taking the first two NBA playoff games in Houston. LaMarcus Aldridge with another monster game as he scored 43 in Portland’s 112-105 win over the Rockets. Game three is tomorrow night at the Moda Center…..Kyle Seager’s three-run, walk-off homer in the 9th gave the Mariners a 5-3 win over Houston, snapping an eight game losing streak. Seattle is off today…..The LCC baseball team is hoping to play a big home game with Tacoma today at 4 pm…..Mark Morris is at R.A. Long in a big Civil War baseball double header at the Lumberyard, 3 pm. Also, Columbia River is slated to play at Kelso today at 4 pm, weather permitting…..The Seahawks have four prime time games this season, including the NFL opener vs Green Bay on September 4th.

The teams play a day game today, KLOG 11:30 am…..The LCC baseball team is hoping to play a huge home game against league-unbeaten Tacoma today, start time has been changed to 4:00 pm, weather permitting…..In boys soccer, Mountain View defeated Kelso 3-1, Ridgefield beat Mark Morris 6-2 and Hokinson blanked R.A. Long 5-0…..The Kelso track teams dominated Hudson’s Bay yesterday, boys winning 124-21 and the Lassies winning 94.5-46.5…..In baseball today, Fort at Kelso and Hockinson at MM…..In softball, Kelso at River, MM at Hockinson and Ridgefield at RAL.

The M’s now lead the league in a dubious category, with the longest current losing streak at seven games. Houston snapped a seven-game skid while extending Seattle’s bad streak with a 7-2 win at Safeco Field. Seattle will look to break that streak tonight, KLOG coverage at 6 pm…..The LCC Red Devils got a nice 5-2 win over Green River yesterday, running their league record to 10-2, 23-7 overall. They have a big game scheduled tomorrow against Tacoma…..The Lady Devils didn’t fare as well, dropping a 13-5 decision to Clackamas. Their scheduled DH against SWOCC has been moved to Friday…..Two local ladies finished yesterday’s historic Boston Marathon; Sharon Schneider, 50, came in at 4:07:45, while Maria Peyer, 48, finished in 4:19:37.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored a Blazer playoff-record 46 points to lead Portland to a 122-120 overtime win over the Houston Rockets. Damien Lillard added 31 as the Blazers rallied from behind to grind out the OT win. Game two is Wednesday night in Houston…..The Mariners have lost six-in-a-row. Miami scored two runs in the 8th to beat Seattle 3-2. The M’s are home to play the Houston Astros tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The LCC baseball team will play a home make-up game with Green River today at 3:00 pm…..The LCC softball team goes back to Clackamas for the continuation of Saturday’s rained out double header. The action begins at 4 pm…..In prep softball, R.A. Long is at Mark Morris in Civil War action at 4 pm…..The Kelso baseball team is at Fort Vancouver today at 4:00 pm.

The Mariners dropped three of four games at Texas. The Rangers beat the M’s 8-6 yesterday. Seattle plays at Miami today, KLOG 3:00 pm…..The LCC baseball team plays Pierce in a 3:30 pm game at Mt. Tahoma HS in Tacoma today. The Devils host Green River on Saturday. The start time has been moved to 11:00 am tomorrow…..The LCC softball team is at Clackamas Saturday at 12 pm…..The Kelso baseball team has moved today’s game with Mt. View to Rister Stadium for a 4 pm DH. Also today, Ridgefield is at MM and RAL at Hockinson, both 3 pm DH’s…..In softball today, Kelso is at Camas and MM at Washougal…..In boys soccer, Washougal beat MM 3-1 and Ridgefield over RAL 6-2. Kelso hosts Prairie today at 4 pm…..Kelso is at the Canby track meet today.

The Mariners melted down in the 9th inning, allowing Texas to score two times with two outs for a 3-2 victory. It wasted a fine pitching performance by Felix Hernandez. The teams are playing a day game today, KLOG 10:00 am…..The reserves played most of the minutes as the Blazers beat the Clippers 110-104 last night. The playoff series with the Rockets begins Sunday in Houston…..Mark Morris defeated R.A. Long 4-2 in Civil War girls tennis yesterday…..In boys soccer, Kelso defeated Hudson’s Bay 2-0…..Sasha Jabusch tossed a complete game one-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Kelso beat Prairie 2-0 in baseball…..In softball, RAL pounded Hockinson 18-4, Battle Ground downed Kelso 8-1 and Rainier blanked MM 10-0…..The Seahawks re-signed WR Sidney Rice to a cheaper deal.

It’s a big pitching matchup tonight as Felix Hernandez goes up opposite Yu Darvish, KLOG 4:00 pm…..The Blazers close out the regular season with a home game against the L.A. Clippers, 6:35 pm on FM 101.5 The Wave…..In prep baseball, Kelso beat Bay 13-1, R.A. Long over Ridgefield 7-2 and Mark Morris defeated Washougal 11-1. Today, Kelso is at Prairie and Ridgefield visits MM…..Union downed Kelso 3-1 in softball. The Lassies visits Battle Ground today while RAL is at Hockinson and MM at Rainier…..In girls tennis today, RAL is at MM and River at Kelso. Fort beat Kelso yesterday 4-2…..The Kelso boys beat River in track, while the Lassies lost to River. Hockinson swept the MM teams and RAL boys beat Ridgefield.

The Mariners opened a four game series at Texas with a 7-1 win over the Rangers. Roenis Elias came up with his first MLB victory. The teams play again today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..Hayden Gillen had five hits and seven RBI’s to lead Kelso to an 18-9 win over Hudson’s Bay. The Scots host the Eagles today at 4 pm. Also today, Ridgefield is at R.A. Long and Mark Morris at Washougal…..In softball, RAL beat Washougal 11-1 and Ridgefield over MM 11-1. The Kelso Lassies host Union today at 4 pm…..In 3:30 pm track action today, Columbia River is at Kelso, Hockinson at MM and Ridgefield at RAL…..In boys soccer, Kelso is at River at 4 pm and MM visits Hockinson tonight at 7 pm…..In girls tennis, MM blanked Heritage 6-0. Today Kelso at Fort at 3:30 pm.

The Blazers and Warriors traded punches last night before Portland came away with a 119-117 overtime win. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 to led the Blazers. Stephan Curry had 47 for Golden State…..Yoenis Cespedes hit a two-run homer to lead the Oakland A’s to a 3-0 win over Seattle. The Mariners play at Texas tonight, KLOG 4:00 pm…..The LCC baseball team swept a four game series over Green River this past weekend. Sunday the Devils beat the Gators 11-0 and 9-0. LCC is now 9-1 in league play…..The Kelso baseball team plays at Hudson’s Bay today at 4 pm…..The LCC softball team won three of four games at the Skagit Cross Over in Mt. Vernon over the weekend…..In prep softball today, R.A. Long hosts Washougal and Mark Morris is at Ridgefield.

Long defeated Woodland 4-3 and MM downed Clatskanie 12-6…..The LCC softball team heads to Mt. Vernon for the Skagit Valley Cross Over Saturday and Sunday…..It’s a Civil War matchup in boys soccer today as Mark Morris hosts R.A. Long, 5 pm at Northlake Field…..Washougal and MM compete in girls golf at the Longview Country Club at 3:30 pm…..The Trail Blazers play the final road game of the regular season tonight against the Utah Jazz, 5:05 pm on FM 101.5 The Wave.
