The Trail Blazers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 104-97 last night. LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and 15 rebounds…..The UW Huskies are now 9-0 after an 86-38 pasting of Grambling State…..Top ranked Umpqua held off Lower Columbia 81-79 in NWAC women’s hoops. Donniesha Webber had 17 to lead the Devils…..The Mark Morris boys rallied in the second half to beat Woodland 62-52. Grant Gibb had 18 for MM…..In girls play, Columbia River edged RAL 44-42 despite 25 points from Sarah Luedke. Tonight, the Kelso Lassies play at Centralia, KLOG 7:25 pm…..Oregon Ducks cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is feared out for the season with a serious knee injury, a blow for the Ducks as they get ready for the Rose Bowl against FSU…..The Kelso wrestlers beat Centralia 52-12 last night.

The Blazers will host the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm. The Bucks will miss rookie star Jabari Parker who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Blazer center Robin Lopez will miss 6 to 7 weeks with a broken hand…..The #7 ranked LCC women’s team host top-ranked Umpqua in a 3 pm game at Mark Morris today, KLOG 2:55 pm…..Ryan Sturdivan and Woodland will be at Mark Morris tonight in boys play. Sturdivan’s two mid court shots against Kelso got him on ESPN as the top play of the day…..Black Hills defeated Kelso 67-57 in girls hops last night. Also, Mark Morris defeated Woodland 63-36 and R.A. Long downed Fort Vancouver 49-28…..The Kelso wrestlers compete at Centralia tonight. RAL is at Astoria.

The Trail Blazers beat the short handed San Antonio Spurs 108-95. LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard had 23 points each for Portland…..Gonzaga easily romped over Texas Southern 94-54 last night. Kyle Wiltjer had 23 for the Zags and Longview’s Rem Bakamus added two points. Gary Payton II had Oregon State’s first triple-double in 26 years as the Beavers beat Grambling 71-43. The last guy to do it was his dad…..Ryan Sturdivan hit a 40-footer at the buzzer to give Woodland a 49-47 win over Kelso last night. R.A. Long rallied from 10 down in the 4th quarter to get into OT. The Jacks then beat Heritage 58-54 behind the 17 of Hunter Jones…..In girls hoops tonight, Kelso hosts Black Hills, KLOG 6:55 pm. Also, Mark Morris is at Woodland and R.A. Long visits Fort Vancouver.

The Seahawks knocked the 49’ers out of playoff contention with a 17-7 victory yesterday. The Hawks remain alive for the division crown and the top NFC seed. Seattle takes on division leader Arizona Sunday night…..The Blazers host the Spurs tonight after a 3-2 road trip, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The Huskies rallied to beat Eastern Washington 81-77 last night. Tonight, Gonzaga hosts Texas Southern…..Both LCC basketball teams went 2-1 in weekend tournaments and both are ranked #7 in the first NWAC polls. The LCC men beat Umpqua 82-67 in Eugene, while the Red Devil women stifled Olympic 60-37…..In boys high school hoops tonight, Woodland is at Kelso and Heritage at R.A. Long…..In girls bowling, Prairie at RAL, MM at Battle Ground and Kelso at Hudson’s Bay.

The Trail Blazers road trip continues today with a matchup at the Chicago Bulls, KLOG 3:05 pm…..The LCC basketball teams open tournaments today. The Red Devil women are at the Everett Classic taking on Bellevue today at 4 pm. The LCC men travel to Eugene for a tourney at Lane CC. The Devils play Spokane at 6 pm…..R.A. Long’s game at Hockinson was postponed due to wind. Four coaches who were teammates at UPS in Tacoma return to Tacoma for a double header tonight. Mark Morris takes on Cascade Christian at 7 pm ( FM 101.5 The Wave) followed by R.A. Long against Brewster at 8:30 pm. The Kelso boys host Heritage tonight (KLOG 6:55 pm)…..The Kelso girls are at Heritage tonight, while Mark Morris hosts Hudson’s Bay and Hockinson at the RAL Lumberjills.

Minnesota upset Portland 90-82 to snap the Blazers five game winning streak…..Gonzaga won its 31st straight home game, an 81-66 victory over WSU at the Spokane Arena…..Despite 18 points and 9 rebounds from Sierra Richards, LCC lost at Clackamas last night 81-71…..The Kelso girls had an easy time with Hudson’s Bay 74-22 as Loryn Musgrove had 23 points. The Kalama girls beat Woodland 41-31, the Chinooks first win over the Beavers in decades…..The Kelso boys blasted Hudson’s Bay 62-18. The Scots are 4-0…..In wrestling, both Kelso and R.A. Long came up with team wins over Tumwater and Olympia…..Oregon State will introduce new football coach Gary Andersen at a news conference on Friday. Andersen bolted Wisconsin after two successful seasons.

The Blazers won their fifth straight game as they beat the Pistons 98-86. Portland plays at Minnesota today, KLOG 4:05 pm…..Gonzaga and WSU meet at the Spokane Arena tonight. The Zags have won 12 of the last 15 matchups…..The LCC women’s team has a big test at Clackamas tonight, 6 pm…..It’s a Pink Out tonight at Kelso as the Lassies host Hudson’s Bay, KLOG after Blazers…..The Kelso boys travel to Hudson’s Bay tonight at 7 pm…..The R.A. Long wrestling team is at Tumwater tonight at 7 pm…..In boys swimming yesterday, Kelso beat Fort and lost to Skyview and Hockinson. Mark Morris and R.A. Long both beat Woodland but lost to Camas…..In girls bowling this afternoon, Kelso and RAL meet at Triangle and MM travels to roll against Hudson’s Bay, both at 3:15 pm.

The Stanley North Carolina Blue Devils defeated the Kelso Jr. Hilanders 41-21 today in the consolation game of the Pop Warner Super Bowl Series in Orlando…..Ducks QB Marcus Mariota is one of the three players invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday. Mariota will be joined by Alabama WR Amari Cooper and Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon…..The Blazers take on the Pistons in Detroit today, KLOG 3:35 pm…..Kady Bruce hit eight 3’s and scored 26 points in Kelso’s 74-34 pasting of Mt. View last night…..In boys play, Kelso pounded Mt. View 72-46 as Blake Hampton had 16. Mark Morris took care of Hudson’s Bay 57-37 behind the 18 of Grant Gibb…..In boys swimming today, Kelso hosts Skyview and Hockinson, while MM and RAL host Camas, both meets at 4 pm

The Seahawks defense was solid in a 24-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Hawks held the Eagles to a season-low in points and yards. The Hawks host the 49’ers next Sunday…..The Oregon Ducks will take on Florida State in the CFP semi-finals at the Rose Bowl New Years Day. It will be Alabama against Ohio State in the other semi at the Sugar Bowl. Also in bowl action, The UW Huskies will meet Oklahoma State in the Cactus Bowl January 2nd in Tempe, Arizona…..The Blazers beat the Knicks 103-99 yesterday. Portland moves on to Detroit for a game tomorrow night…..In boys prep hoops tonight, Kelso is at Mt. View (KLOG 6:55 pm) and Mark Morris is at Hudson’s Bay (101.5FM The Wave 6:45 pm)…..In girls play, Mt. View is at Kelso tonight.

It’s off on a five game trip beginning Sunday in New York…..The LCC men’s basketball team begins play at the Spokane Big Foot Classic today at 4 pm against Big Bend…..In boys hoops tonight, Kelso is at R.A. Long and W.F. West at Mark Morris…..The MM girls beat Union 74-46 last night. Tonight, RAL is at Heritage…..The Three Rivers Classic wrestling tournament goes on all day at Mark Morris Saturday…..In girls bowling Friday, R.A. Long and Mark Morris meet at the Triangle Bowl.
