Felix Hernandez got the win as the Mariners beat the White Sox 4-3 yesterday. The M’s begins a four game series at Cleveland today, KLOG 2:00 pm…..Shanay Dotson went 7 for 11 with a homer, two doubles, four RBI’s and two steals in LCC’s sweep at Chemeketa. The Devils won 18-12 and 17-2…..Mark Morris beat Washougal 20-6 and Hockinson edged R.A. Long 3-2 in prep softball yesterday. Today, Kelso is at Evergreen…..Kelso beat Prairie 15-3 in prep baseball yesterday. The teams play again today at Rister Stadium. Mark Morris defeated Columbia River 12-2. RAL is at Hockinson today…..The NFL Draft begins this afternoon in Dallas. The Seahawks have the 18th pick. With no picks in the second and third round, many expect Seattle to trade down for additional selections.

Marco Gonzalez and four relievers combined on the shutout as the Mariners beat the White Sox 1-0. The series concludes today, KLOG 10:00 am…..The LCC softball team swept Centralia 5-2 and 9-1 yesterday. The Devils travel to Salem to play Chemeketa today at 2 pm…..Jayda Speed got the game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th to give the Kelso softball team a 3-2 win over Prairie. The Lassies are 5-0 in league. Today, Washougal is at MM and RAL is at Hockinson…..In prep baseball today Kelso is at Prairie and Mark Morris at Columbia River…..Angel Hernandez had two goals to lead Kelso to a 3-1 win over Fort. River shutout MM 4-0…..The Kelso girls track team beat Prairie 89-70, while the Hilanders lost to the Falcons 76-69.

Chicago scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat Seattle 10-4 last night. The White Sox host the M’s again today, KLOG 1:00 pm…..R.A. Long pounded out 17 hits and took advantage of seven Mark Morris errors in a 19-1 Civil War baseball win yesterday at Story Field. Alex Brady pitched aa four-hitter for the win. Evergreen blanked Kelso 9-0…..In prep softball, Woodland shutout RAL 10-0 and Ridgefield beat MM 6-4. Today, Prairie visits Kelso and RAL is at River…..The LCC softball team is at Centralia for a 3 pm DH today…..In boys soccer today Kelso is at Fort (5pm) and MM at River (7pm)…..The Kelso track teams pay a visit to Prairie this afternoon at 4 pm…..In girls golf, RAL hosts Woodland and MM is at River.

The Texas Rangers avoided a Mariners sweep by downing Seattle 7-4 yesterday. The M’s move on to Chicago to play the White Sox today, KLOG 4:00 pm……The LCC baseball team dominated Grays Harbor in a four game sweep over the weekend. Yesterday the Devils won 19-0 and 13-5…..The LCC softball team went 4-2 over the weekend. Yesterday the Devils blanked Treasure Valley 5-0 and lost to North Idaho 8-5. LCC is at Centralia tomorrow…..Civil War baseball today features R.A. Long at Mark Morris at 4 pm. Also, Evergreen visits Kelso at 4 pm…..In girls softball, R.A. Long is at home against Woodland and Mark Morris is at Ridgefield, both at 4 pm…..In MLS soccer, The Timbers beat New York City 3-0 and the Sounders downed Minnesota 3-1.

The Blazers lost again in the playoffs, dropping a 119-102 game at New Orleans. Portland will try and avoid a sweep in game four Saturday…..The Astros beat the Mariners 9-2 Thursday. Seattle begins a 10 game road trip at Texas today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..The LCC baseball team host Grays Harbor in a 1 pm DH Saturday…..The LCC softball team host Yakima Valley at 5 pm today at Tam O’Shanter Park. The Devils then host Walla Walla tomorrow at 12 pm at 7th Avenue Park…..R.A. Long went 3-0 in Civil War action yesterday. The Jills beat Mark Morris in softball 5-3, beat the Monarchs 3-1 in boys soccer and captured the tiebreaker in a 3-3 girls tennis match with MM…..The Kalama Twilight track meet is today at 4 pm. The Kelso track teams compete at the Canby Invite.

It’s a day game today at Safeco Field, KLOG 11:30 am…..The Trail Blazers, down 0-2 to the Pelicans, will play at New Orleans tonight, 5:05 pm on The Wave…..Longview native Wes Armstrong is returning to coaching as he takes over as the head boys basketball coach at Kalama, replacing long time Chinook coach Jody Stemkoski…..In prep baseball, Kelso defeated Fort Vancouver 11-4, R.A. Long blanked Washougal 6-0 and Hockinson beat Mark Morris 12-4. Today, Kelso is at Evergreen, Ridgefield at RAL and Washougal at MM…..In softball, River beat MM 11-2. Today, MM is at RAL and Kelso at Fort…..Mt. View beat Kelso 3-0 in boys soccer. Mark Morris and R.A. Long play at 6 pm today at LMS.

The Trail Blazers are in a 0-2 hole after losing at home to New Orleans again last night, 111-102. Game three in New Orleans tomorrow night…..Lance McCullers Jr. tossed seven innings of one-hit ball to lead the Astros to a 4-1 win over the Mariners. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The LCC baseball team came up with a clutch road sweep at Tacoma yesterday, winning 9-6 and 6-1. The Devils take over first place…..Mt. View edged Kelso 4-3 in prep baseball. Also, Ridgefield edged Mark Morris 5-4. Today, Fort is at Kelso, Washougal at R.A. Long and MM at Hockinson…..In prep softball, Kelso beat Mt. View 6-5, MM over Heritage 12-7 and RAL shutout Washougal 11-0. MM hosts River today…..Mark Morris hosts R.A. Long in Civil War girls tennis today at 3:30 pm.

James Paxton got the win as the Mariners beat the Astros 2-1 last night. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..Tacoma and LCC split a pair of games last night. TCC won 7-6 and the Devils won 7-1. LCC needs a sweep at Tacoma today to take the season series…..The LCC softball team plays a pair of games at Centralia today, 3 pm…..Evergreen beat Kelso 3-1 in boys soccer last night. R.A. Long hosts Columbia River at 6 pm tonight…..The Kelso track teams are at home today against Evergreen at 3:30 pm…..The Blazers hope to bounce back from a game one loss by defeating New Orleans tonight in game two of the NBA Playoffs, 6:35 pm on FM 101.5…..Former Kelso football coach Ed Laulainen will be inducted into the WIAA Hall of Fame May 2nd in Renton.

The M’s host the Houston Astros in the opener of a four game set tonight, FM 100.7 KLOG at 6:05 pm…..The LCC-Tacoma college series was rained out over the weekend. The teams will try again today with a 4 pm start at Story Field…..In prep baseball today, Kelso is at Fort, Washougal at Mark Morris and R.A. Long at Hockinson, weather permitting…..The LCC softball team stayed in first place after splitting a twin bill at Clackamas on Saturday…..In prep softball today, weather permitting, Mark Morris is at R.A. Long…..The Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City ended up in a 2-2 tied yesterday…..In boys soccer today, Kelso is at Evergreen at 5 pm this afternoon.

The Mariners begin a seven game home stand tonight with a game against the Oakland A’s,100.7 KLOG at 6:05 pm…..The LCC baseball team has shifted the schedule and will host Tacoma in a huge league double header today at 4 pm at Story Field, weather permitting…..The Portland Trail Blazers open the NBA Playoffs with a home game against New Orleans tomorrow night, FM 101.5 The Wave at 6:35 pm…..In boys soccer tonight, Washougal is at R.A. Long (6 pm), Mark Morris visits Hockinson (7 pm) and Kelso is at home against Hudson’s Bay (7 pm)…..The Kelso track teams compete today at the Ingram Invite at Columbia River…..Kelso is hosting a fund-raising Buff Puff boys volleyball tourney tonight with Kelso, MM and Kalama. Doors open at 5 pm with action beginning at 5:30 pm.
