You have a chance to check out the new home of the Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce and the new Visitors Center next to I-5 in Kelso at an grand opening and ribbon-cutting that’s planned for today. The new Visitors Center is a joint effort involving the City of Kelso, the Chamber of Commerce and Cowlitz County, replacing an old and worn-out modular building that had been put up shortly after Mount St. Helens erupted. Today’s open house runs from 3 to 6 pm, with an official ribbon-cutting scheduled for 4 pm. Refreshments will be served; today’s event is open to all, with no reservations required. The new Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce and Kelso Visitors Center is located at 105 Minor Road, right next to the Allen Street exit on I-5.
