Longview Police are working to find the man who robbed the Chase Bank branch at the Triangle Shopping Center yesterday afternoon. Bank personnel called 911 at about 2:30 pm, reporting that a man had given a teller a note, demanding money. No weapon was seen; the suspect reportedly put an undisclosed amount of cash in his coat pocket, and then left on foot. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 5’10”, with dark brown eyes and a thin build. They say he was wearing a ball cap, with a hoody pulled over the top of it, and may also have been wearing a blue and yellow jacket. The suspect was last seen walking in the direction of Applebee’s. Officers swarmed the area, eventually Steven Dean Baldwin, 27. He was eliminated as the robbery suspect, but he was arrested on a Kelso warrant for disorderly conduct. The investigation into the robbery is continuing.
