There’s a new General Manager and a new Club Pro at the Longview Country Club. The Board of Directors at the Club recently approved the hiring of Alan Hoover as the new GM, coming to Longview from the Meadow Lakes Golf Club in Prineville. Hoover has some solid background in the golf industry, working as the Head Golf Professional at Carson Valley Gold Course in Gardnerville, Nevada before heading to Central Oregon. They say that Hoover has a strong skill set in golf and management, also with great talents in merchandising, customer service, food and beverage service. The Board says that those skills are needed with the Club’s increasing membership and tournament schedule. His first day of work is next Monday, the 17th.
The Club’s Board of Directors is also announcing the hire of Michael Williams as the new Golf Professional at the Longview Country Club. Williams comes to Longview by way of Burley, Idaho, where he was working at the Head Pro at publicly-owned course in that city. Before that, Williams had been the Head Pro at Sun City Vistoso Golf Club in Tucson. Williams also attended the PGA Business Schools in Houston and Palm Springs, with strong gold and management experience. He’s expected to start in the middle of next month. Barry Verrill with the Club’s Board of Directors say that both men have the tools and experience to take the Longview Country Club to the next level.
