Just days after his new office in Longview was featured in the local newspaper, Dentist William G. Lesh is dead at the age of 44. Cowlitz County Deputies were called to Toutle River Rest stop around 7:20 last night, when it was reported that an unresponsive man was lying next to a gray BMW; CPR was attempted, without success. Cowlitz County Coroner Tim Davidson took possession of the body, and confirmed this morning that it was Lesh that had passed away. Davidson says that there were no signs of foul play at the scene where Lesh was found, along with no other signs of a crime or foul play. There was a bump on Lesh’s head, but Davidson says that may have happened as Lesh got out of his car. An autopsy is planned for Saturday. Obviously, the staff at Dream Dentistry in Longview is stunned by the news, but they also say that they plan to continue on with Lesh’s legacy. Dream Dentistry, which also has an office in Olympia, will be closed through next week; Lesh has a brother and another relative that are also dentists, and his son is also in dental school at this time. The office says that while Lesh is “irreplaceable,” they also plan to continue on with his dream, and will continue to operate the offices as his legacy.
