Deputy’s Scholarship

Posted on 29th May 2014 at 15:46

Mark Morris High School senior Branson Myers’ efforts to pursue a degree in Law and Justice at Central Washington University is getting a boost from the Cowlitz County Deputy Sheriff’s Benefit Association, as Myers is named as the recipient of this year’s $1,000 scholarship award. Leaders of the Association say that Myers rose to the top of a group of extremely qualified candidates, and that it was difficult to make a decision. The Association says that they feel that Myers will be an asset to his family and the community by completing his studies, and they’re proud to support those efforts. The scholarship check and an award letter are being sent directly to Central Washington University.
