The Humane Society is following up on the investigation into the death of a family dog up near Castle Rock, after the owner reported that it was probably shot with an arrow. The dog’s owner called the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office at about 6:30 last night, reporting that he had found the dead animal near his home at Horseshoe Bend Estates. The owner says that the dog had been missing for about three weeks, and Deputies say that it looks like the dog had been dead for about that length of time. The owner says that he has some suspicions about who might have shot and killed the dog, and relayed that information to authorities. So far, no charges have been filed.
