Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Posted on 20th November 2017 at 07:56

State Troopers and local law enforcement are gearing up for the annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” emphasis patrols, with extra Troopers on the road to find impaired, aggressive and drowsy drivers. The emphasis patrols will begin tomorrow, spearheaded by a special squad of troopers that will be working the freeways and state highways in the area. This squad will be deployed across Cowlitz, Clark and Lewis Counties. Six troopers will be stationed in Clark County, while four others will be deployed in Cowlitz and Lewis Counties. They say that these troopers will be focused on dangerous driving behaviors that lead to serious injury and fatality crashes, things like aggressive driving, speed, unrestrained occupants and impaired driving. The squad will start work tomorrow, and will be on patrol until January 3rd.
