This weekend’s DUI emphasis patrols resulted in the arrest of two men after a car and foot chase early Sunday morning in the Highlands. This got started shortly after 3 am yesterday, when a Woodland Police Officer tried to make a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 30th Avenue. The officer says that the driver took off instead, hitting speeds near 60 miles an hour before crashing into a stop sign at 30th and Fir. The driver ran off, while the passenger was held at Taser point. Other units were converging on the area, and caught the driver a short distance from the crash site. Julian Edward Leong, 27, and Aaron Michael Boatsman, 24, were both arrested on no-bail Department of Corrections warrant. Additional charges could be filed, as it was noted that the car involved was stolen.
