It’s reported that a worker at the EGT grain terminal suffered a back injury yesterday morning, and was airlifted from the scene for treatment. Today’s Daily News reports that the incident took place around 11 yesterday morning, hurt as he was working on a metal roller in the maintenance shop. EGT officials have not disclosed any other information on the incident, though it was noted that man was conscious and talking as he was being loaded onto the helicopter. It was also noted that the injured man was NOT a member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. The man’s name has not been disclosed, and his condition has not been updated.
