If you’ve got a business idea or need some help in growing your existing small business, there’s a workshop being held this afternoon that could offer some assistance. Third District Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler is sponsoring this afternoon’s “Entrepreneur Workshop,” which will run from 2 to 3:30 pm in the General Meeting Room on the third floor of the County Administration Building in Kelso. Beutler’s office says that they’ll have representatives from the Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Centers, local colleges, lending institutions and other business mentors on hand. Some of the topics covered will include accessing capital, understanding business tax structure, and the use of social media to attract and retain customers. The workshop is free and open to anyone interested; for other information, contact Pam Peiper in Beutler’s Vancouver office at 360-695-6292.
