Gardening Camp

Posted on 8th July 2013 at 16:09

Your kids can learn all about how to grow their own food at a Gardening Camp that’s planned for this week, courtesy of the WSU Master Gardeners. “Camp Luqal Luqal” will start this morning and will run through Friday; sessions for kids in grades 1 through 3 will go from 8 to 11 am each day, and sessions for kids in grades 3 to 5 will go from 1 to 4 pm. Gary Fredericks with the Master Gardeners says that this will be a hands-on experience, giving kids a chance to explore the worlds of bugs, plants and weather. There is a fee to attend, and there’s a limit of 25 kids per class. Sessions will be held in the Floral Building on the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds. Call the Master Gardeners at 577-3014, extension zero for more information.
