Kids have some options available tonight, along with the traditional trick-or-treating route. The 10th annual Street of Screams will run from 3:30 to 7:30 pm tonight. Hosted by the Longview Pioneer Lions, the event will be held in a new location this year, going into the old Wild Grizzly Casino space, next to the Kelso-Longview Elks Lodge, off of Grade Street in Kelso. This event is for kids ages 3 to 12; admission is a dollar or a can of food. All food donations will go to local food banks. Witches Hollow is a free community event that will be going on this evening in Commons Park in Kelso, right across the street from City Hall. The park will be converted into a haunted castle, open for area kids from 5 to 9 pm tonight. This is open to all area kids. At the First Baptist Church in Longview, they’re holding a free Harvest Carnival form 5 to 8 pm, with games, prized and treats for pre-school and elementary school-age kids. From 6 to 8 pm at the North Gate City Church on Minor Road in Kelso, they’re having a “Hallelujah Night,” billed as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating for all ages through 6th grade. Children will need to have an adult or guardian accompany them to this event.
