The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a head-on collision that took place last night on Headquarters Road at Firlane Road, sending two people to the hospital. The crash took place at about 8:20 pm, when a small SUV driven by Kimberly Rismoen crashed into a pickup driven by Rama Mitchell of Longview. Deputies say that Rismoen suffered some severe lacerations in the collision, while her passenger, Richard Rismoen, suffered a broken leg or ankle. Both are now listed in satisfactory condition at St. John Medical Center. Mitchell received only minor injuries after his air bag deployed, and refused medical care. Deputies say that there’s evidence to indicate that Kimberly Rismoen was impaired at the time of the crash. Mitchell claims that she was driving completely in his lane, and that he even had time to slow down and try and avoid the collision. A search warrant to draw blood for testing was obtained. Vehicular assault charges could be filed.
