Hit and Run

Posted on 12th September 2018 at 09:09

Longview Police are asking for your help in finding a hit-and-run driver, a woman who apparently hit a developmentally-delayed pedestrian yesterday afternoon in downtown Longview. The collision took place around 3 pm yesterday, in the area of 12th and Hemlock. The 39 year-old woman was crossing the street when she was hit, receiving some minor injuries. The woman was knocked to the ground, and the driver did not stop. Because of the disability of the victim, she was unable to provide a lot of details about the driver that hit her. She describes the driver as female, with gray or white hair. The driver may have been wearing a gray sweatshirt, or something similar. The victim was unable to get a license plate, and she was also unable to say exactly where the collision took place. Longview Police say that they would like to talk with anyone who saw the incident, along with the driver, if she would like to come forward. Call Cowlitz County Dispatch at 360-442-5800 if you can help with this incident, and refer to case number L18-4989. If you are the driver, you can send a private message, to arrange an interview with the investigating officer.
