Longview Police are investigating a fraud that took place early on New Year’s Day at the Quality Inn on 7th Avenue. A tenant at the hotel reported being contacted by hotel staff, saying that a woman was at the front desk, claiming that she had lost her room key, asking to be admitted to the man’s room. The man says that he had actually checked out of the hotel, and had not given permission for anyone else to be in his room. The hotel clerk also says that the woman tried to get an upgrade to a suite. Police have been able to identify at least two females as suspects in this attempted fraud, but no arrests have been reported.
