Today is the deadline for hunters across the state to get their applications into the drawing for a 2016 multiple-season tag, which might help increase the chance for success in the field. In the middle of next month, Washington Fish and Wildlife will hold the drawing for 85 hundred multiple-season deer tags and a thousand multiple-season elk tags. Winners will get the opportunity to buy a special tag that would allow them to participate in archery, muzzleloader and modern firearm seasons; elk tag winners would also be able to hunt on either side of the state. Full information on the tags and the drawings are on thw WDFW web page.
WDFW is also out with a reminder that anglers will need to renew their licenses and harvest tags by tomorrow. Fishing licenses are valid from April 1 to March 31 in Washington state. Anglers will also need to return their salmon and steelhead catch record cards, even if they didn’t catch any fish. Full details are available on the WDFW web page, or at your local licensing outlet.
