An errant barbecue grill gets the blame for a rollover crash that injured three people yesterday afternoon on I-5 north of Castle Rock. State Troopers say that the crash happened around 3:30 pm yesterday, at milepost 53 northbound, a few miles north of Castle Rock. Amanda Thornton, 22, of Issaquah was in the left lane, and swerved to miss the grill, which had landed in the freeway. She hit the median barrier, and then rolled over, coming to rest in the center lane of the freeway. Along with the driver, Zoe Davey, 21, of Sammamish and Aphea Thornton, 53, of Issaquah were injured in the crash. All three were treated and released at St. John Medical Center. No citations were issued.
