A special screening of a film called “Inequality for All” is planned for this evening at the Longview Presbyterian Church. The movie examines the widening gap between rich and poor in the United States, along with the continuing erosion of the American middle class. Former Secretary of Labor and current University of California professor Robert Reich is the featured speaker in the film, and he’ll discuss how this extreme inequality got started by economic and policy changes that were made some 30 years ago. Co-sponsored by Lower Columbia CAP, this is one of 600 “watch parties” being planned across the country. Things will get started at 6 pm with a nationwide conference call on this topic, and then the show will start at 6:30 pm. The Longview Presbyterian Church is located at 3808 Pennsylvania Street in Longview; doors will open at 5:45 pm, and admission is free. Additional information is available on the church’s website, or by calling 577-8951.
