Two northwest coaching legends passed away yesterday. Don James died at the age of 80. “The Dawgfather” coached the Huskies to national prominence including a national championship and five Rose Bowls. Meanwhile, legendary Naselle basketball coach Lyle Patterson died at the age of 74. His Comets played in five State championship games and his 632 wins in 32 seasons is 4th all-time…..The Seahawks take on the Rams next Sunday, but St. Louis QB Sam Bradford won’t play. He suffered a season ending knee injury in a loss to the Panthers yesterday…..Damian Lillard scored 28 points leading the Trail Blazers to a 109-105 NBA pre-season win over Sacramento last night.
