Three men suspected of stealing a shotgun in a La Center-area home burglary are under arrest after a pursuit that took place yesterday afternoon; one of those suspects is also being connected to the theft of firearms from a home in Kalama earlier this month. Around 12:30, the suspects were seen leaving a home on Northeast Jenny Creek Road, carrying a shotgun and other items. The suspects were spotted and pursued to an area behind one of the La Center casinos, where they ditched their car and took off on foot. Two were arrested at gunpoint behind the Chips Casino, and then the third was found lying on a trampoline in the back yard of a nearby home. The La Center City Hall was briefly placed on lockdown. Cowlitz County Deputies and Woodland Police assisted several Clark County police agencies during this incident. Kalama Police Chief Randy Gibson says that one of the suspects is also connected to a pair of burglaries reported on the 11th of this month, where two handguns were stolen from one home, and a window was shot out in another. Identities of the suspects have not yet been released.
