Legislative Luncheon

Posted on 30th November 2017 at 07:55

The Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Washington State Legislative Forum today, inviting the 19th and 20th District Senators and Representatives in for lunch and a discussion. In their solicitation, Chamber officials say that it was a “crazy election;” they also mark the lack of a state capital budget, and the “Hirst decision,” claiming that it “hangs over every residential building permit in the state of Washington that has a well on the property.” The Chamber says that this will be an opportunity to speak with local legislators on a number of topics, including the new paid family leave law, B&O tax rates, and the “power of the Department of Ecology.” This will run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Cowlitz County Conference and Events Center. Contact the Chamber of Commerce or go to their web page to get ticket information.
