There’s an educational roundtable planned for this evening at the LifeWorks building on New York Street in Longview, where Kelso-based Living Ministries will talk about “Living in Your Car.” Karen Gidderon with Living Ministries says that they really don’t know how many people in Cowlitz County are living in their cars, but they suspect that the number is higher than the 17 households reported in this year’s Project Homeless Connect event. This evening’s roundtable will feature representatives from the King County-based Interfaith Task Force on the Homeless, who will share strategies on dealing with a homeless population that is largely forgotten and misunderstood. This roundtable starts at 6 pm at LifeWorks. It will also feature a potluck dinner, so you can bring your favorite dish if you plan to attend. Call 360-610-7778 for more information.
