Prior to tonight’s regular meeting, the Longview School Board will continue its series of study sessions on the recommendations of the Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee. The School Board plans to spend tonight’s session working on the communication plan connected to this process, working out the methods and timelines that will be used to communicate the work that’s being done to the community, staff and students. Superintendent Suzanne Cusick says that the board will hear from the District’s Communications Director, Sandy Catt, and from Laurie Simpson of ESD 112, lining out the goals for a communication plan with three to five principal messages or themes. Tonight’s study session is set for 6 pm, and is open to the public. There will be no time set aside for public comment during the study session, but the board will take public comment at the regular meeting, which is set to begin at 7:30 pm. At the regular meeting, the School Board is scheduled to hear from Scott Rose of the DLR Group, as he presents a report on the Asset Preservation Program.
