Luyster Deliberations

Posted on 17th November 2017 at 08:42

A Clark County jury continues to deliberate in the triple-murder case involving Brent Ward Luyster, 37, of Longview. The Vancouver Columbian reports on yesterday’s proceedings in Clark County Superior Court. The jury was in deliberations all through yesterday, though they did send out a question to the judge, asking for clarification on one of the aggravating factors in the case. The question dealt with the issue of multiple victims and if the murders were part of a common scheme or plan. The judge didn’t have any additional information, and he directed jurors to their jury instructions. Jurors have deliberated a total of eleven hours so far, and they’re scheduled to resume that work this morning. Luyster is accused of killing three people and seriously wounding a fourth at a home in Woodland on July 15th of last year. If he’s found guilty of aggravated first-degree murder, Luyster faces a sentence of life in prison without parole.
