Local teens can learn how to be “Money Smart” at a free class that’s being held this afternoon at The Boulevard Teen Center, located at 2121 Kessler Boulevard in Longview. This starts at 4 pm today, and all local middle or high school students are invited to attend. Kids will learn the basics of starting their own bank accounts, along with the steps to take to build their credit the smart way, with a number of fun and interactive activities planned. Refreshments will be provided. The Boulevard is a safe, supervised, drug, tobacco and alcohol-free drop-in center run by Longview Parks and Recreation for local teens, open from 3 to 6 pm Monday through Friday. They offer pool, foosball, air hockey and video games to play, along with a secure high-speed internet computer lab. Call Parks and Rec at 442-5400 for more information.
