Marcus Glenn Foster, 50, of Seaside is going to prison for the rest of his life, sentenced to two consecutive life terms for last year’s beating deaths of his ex-wife and a man with ties to the Longview area. Last month, Foster pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated first-degree murder in the deaths of Laura Foster, 53, and Guy Phillips, 53, who used to work in this area as a radio station disc jockey. The bodies of Phillips and Foster were found in her home on May 3rd of last year, beaten with a baseball bat. Foster was arrested that same day, as he was driving eastbound on Highway 30 near Knappa. Foster will serve a minimum of 30 years on each count, to be served consecutively. He will not be eligible for parole until the year 2072.
