It’s reported that a 34 year-old Longview man was arrested Tuesday night in the Napavine area, after he allegedly carjacked a woman after a car crash in the Napavine area. The Centralia Chronicle says that the man had rear-ended an SUV that was heading onto I-5 at exit 72; both drivers got out of the vehicles after the collision; Lewis County authorities say the man walked past the SUV driver, got into her rig and drove off on Rush Road. The suspect then got back onto the freeway, driving through Chehalis and Centralia and heading into Thurston County. Just south of Tumwater, spike strips were successfully deployed, and Michael Arthur Vienola, 34, of Longview was arrested. He’s now being held in the Lewis County Jail on charges of felony eluding, second-degree robbery and car theft, with initial bail set at $100,000.
