Lower Columbia College President Jim McLaughlin reports that a successor for Mary Harding has been selected. McLaughlin reports that Dr. Lisa Edwards is accepting the position of Vice President for Student Success at LCC. Edwards comes to LCC from the University of Denver, where she has worked since 2001. Most recently, Edwards served as the University’s Director of Academic Advising and Orientation. McLaughlin says that edwards has significant academic and work experience in student services, including advising, registration, student activities, athletics, counseling, marketing and publications. Her instructional experience includes teaching Library Science, human values and resource courses for first-year students. Edwards will succeed Harding, who’s retiring after 36 years of service with LCC.
